WHAT IS THERAPEUTIC YOGA?

This is a type of yoga that integrates mindfulness, yoga poses and breath work in an effort to bring total body, mind, and spirit awareness. Yoga always begins with a variety of guided meditation in which students learn to connect with their true intuitive self. Yoga students are encouraged to set their own unique intention at the start of class, practicing present awareness of their own body, while building mental, physical and emotional strength and resilience.

Students leave class with less emotional weight, often with a feeling of lightness in their step, more mental clarity, and a greater sense of purpose and peace in their hearts.

Hatha Yoga combines seated meditation (asana) with breath work (prjna), and body postures for strength, aligning body, mind, and spiritual practice for total balance Yoga is powerful and transformational with internal and external changes on and off the mat.
